main relay cutting on and off
well this is not my problem but it is a friends. he has an inline walbro fuel pump. at low rpms like at idle or when accelerating from first or second you can hear the walbro inline whine cut on and off and you can simotaneously hear the main relay clicking on and off, any ideas, its a b16 in crx converted to obd1. can the computer sense that the car is running too rich and cut of the fuel pumps?
my guess would be a defective main relay.. It prob either needs the board re-soldered or there's a rusted/bad ground wire. pretty common problems for the rex.

ok guess what... now i have this problem. d16z6 in 89 si. i checked tranny ground, thermostat ground(moved it to a cleaner suface -vtec solenoid), and the battery ground. the battery is in the back and the ground is on the rear strut tower nut. i put it on there and it sparked so i am guessing its a good ground? we resoldered the main relay points and it didnt help. i am lost.
