6x9 subs?
I put some infinitys in the front of my 2001 LX civic, and now i wanna do the rears. However, the fronts give me everything i want except bass. I absolutly don't want a sub, but when i get rears i'd like to get something that has a ton of bass. This way i can use my fader to add lows. Does anyone they make a 6x9 sub? And yes, i know that they won't kick un-enclosed, but i'm not looking for a killer system. Just a little more bass. The bass is fine right now if i'm at a stop. So i just want to add back the amout that is lost via road noise. If no one does make a 6x9 sub, how about a full range with passive crossovers ?
Any ideas are appriciated, but again, don't bother talking sub enclosures and power amps. Just wanna fit something in the rear that will add as much bass as possible. If not possible, then i'll leave it as is rather than add an amp and/or sub enclosure.
Thanks-

Yes, there are 6x9 subs. I think that Kicker use to make a set, and there are some over at partsexpress.com. The fader will not give you more bass, and you'll probably need an amp. Good luck.
Thanks, i'll check that place out. As far as using the fader for more bass, what i'm saying is that if the fronts are full range and the rears are all bass, i can fade a bit toward the rear and balance the lows from there with the highs and mids from the front.
Hmm......they do have a 6x9 sub, but they're $5 each !!! I can't imagine a 5 dollar sub being too good !
Plus they are 2 ohms, and they would have to be 4 like the front or you'd have an impedence mis-match.

Why don't you try some sound deading? It is worth a shot. I don't think you will get any real bass with out an amp. Try b-quiet.com I got stuff from them and I was very pleased.

Some of the best speakers on the market can be found for well under $100 dollars. You'd be supprised, and they can be wired into a 4 ohm load.

Well, yea, but 5 bucks?!! As to the series wiring, i'd need 2 subs on each side to accomplish that.

Maybe as a last resort. But the last thing i wanna do is take the front door panels off again. Things tend to break when removed multiple times, and this would be the third. I really wanna do this thing with the 6x9's if i can find em. I think it'll give me just what i want. I'm not a car audio buff and not looking for thunderous bass..........just want a decent sound.
