throw away radio and buy aftermarket.

the dealer will charge you 20-65 dollars for the code. might as well buy an mp3 player.

the dealer here only charges if they have to take the radio out of the car. If you can get it out yourself and get teh # they won't charge you anything

I was told that there is a code number located somewhere in the car for instances like changing out a new battery. Have you tried checking the ashtray? Or call the dealership and see if they know where other locations of the code can be found.Other than that you would probably have to remove the radio and get the serial number.
