Crankshaft position sensor ECU code 4 CIVIC
Having planned to sell the car couple weeks b4 hand, only 3 days ago a malfunction light comes on.
I been told by the dealer it is possible the Crank position senor -or the circuitry of the unit is playing up (CIVIC 96-98 (Dx model -SOHC)). Greatly appreciate if someone can send some picture where I can locate this and is that any way I can get rid off this without spend $$$ - tried reseting the ecu code but as soon as the engine starts the light come back on. (I'm considered as not very techo would this be a simple job to change) thanks in advance

You can't really change the sensor, since it's in the distributor itself. I think the easiest way would be to get another distributor that is known to be good.
Having read other's posts, poeple have spend $300 on a new dist. but only discovered the light is still there while others saying it is behind the crank pulley. Any suggestion is helpful b4 returning the car to my local garage. Fortunately the car drives as norm with no 3500rpm cut off, it is a CIVIC DX 97 model covered 56km.
