Default balance shaft probs

well i did mine today....and it revs way faster...it idels better than ever wich is kinda wierd??...but any way ive got a nasty vibration around 7000rpm....it just doesnt feel right .....

i did notice a couple of chips on my crank pully...not to big but good enough to notice with out looking for them....could a bad cluthc also make this vibration

man ive always had a concern about doing that on a hseries motor...people say you dont need that on engines smaller than 2.0ltr we are 2-3liters over...i dont like the idea...b and d series yeah but not on my h

Honda engineers put the balancer shafts in the engine to reduce vibrations. It should be no big surprise that the engine feels rougher and tranfers a lot more vibration to the chassis after you removed them...

ya ..like i said its smotther at idel then ever before...it just doesnt feel like it wants to rev to red

could it be the crank pully...its all chiped some are big

so mabye it is my clutch.....peopl say its not the crank pully

man i had my balancer belt replaced a lil ago and since then whenever my motor gets in the higher rpms it vibrates a lot more and makes the dash rattle. its scary at times but im getting use to it..

thats sucks...but it doesnt shake the car on mine....i can feel it through the gass pedal and the motor feels like its looseing power....it tickels quit a bit..

It is possible that the alleged technician installed your belt with one of the shafts 180* off. This would cause some nasty vibrations, but probably throughout the RPM range.

You can always reinstall the balance belt, to see if that problem goes away. A bad crank pully will result in it being out of balance. So yes, it will make a difference.

hard to say..but mine deffinitly feels like it will do some harm to the motor ....yours could be totally different

well honestly my car feels like it vibrates a lot more through all RPMs but when it gets to 7000 and up it rattles the dash like crazy. The motor also wines which it didnt use to do.

Like I said before, why don't you just reinstall the balance belt and see if the problem goes away.
