Is it possible to take out say the fuel guage & tach from a cluster & replace it in another? The reason that I ask is b/c the person that I bought my car from had installed indiglo's & broke the fuel guage & my tach is f'd up even after installing a new dizzy/ignitor, but I want to keep the same mileage. I know that you can do this on the newer Si's, so just wondering if we are so lucky. TIA

If you get another cluster from a 90-91 civic / crx w/ factory tach, then you can swap the temp/fuel and tach over no problem.

no soldering, i did the same cluster swap following thumpu77's web guide, its awesome! thanks again louie.

 

Hey no prob... and as far a soldering, none needed, all of the electrical contacts are made by the screws that hold everything together.

My next "how to" project is putting Toyota Paseo seats into a hatch... not my first choice of seats, but my DX driver seat broke, and the Paseo seats were free.
