i have a freind that swaped to a manual tranny from an auto in his 94 del sol.it ran fine with the auto ecu,just had a check engine light.he got a manual ecu and now his rev limiter seems to be at about 5500rpm.is there some wiring that has to be done to prevent this or is it something else?

 

what ECU did he put in?

 

i just found out that he put in a dx ecu.i assume the rev limit is 5500rpm on that car.does that sound right?
