Default Anyone else with subframe problems

Last time I was checking my oil I noticed that my subframe had a tiny crack near where the inner tie rod bolted to. The crack or split in the subframe is about 1 inch long and 2mm wide. I also have been having sloppy steering problems lately and just replaced all of my tie rods in suspect to finding the problem. I still have the sloppy steering so it leads me to believe that it's either my rack & pinion or the split in the subframe. I know that pictures would help and I may post some this weekend but for now I would just like to know if this has happened to anyone or knows how to remedy the crappy steering, thank you and have a nice day

Sounds like you are talking about your front cross member where the radius rods bolt to? If this is it and its cracked and flexing this could give you some "sloppy" steering. A pic would help. But your best bet is to find a good one at a wrecking yard or depending on car ussage and such you can drop some cash on a Jim Fab unit. Dont want that thing breaking through could be messy.
