air craft stripper, spray it on, wait 25 minutes come back and it should eat all the gunk and make it come off easier

goto lowes or home depot and get a paint scraper. they are small and thin, but strong like bull. hope this helps.

We used a wire wheel on , boys d15......yeah I Know it will put waves and pits in the aluminum, just like it did but we could have cared less. The d15 broke a timing belt so we had no choice but to take the head off, when we did the gasket was pretty much fused to the block in some places.

Flat Rate = Whizzy Wheel (die grinder) with 50grit Disc, takes a few mins, and I have done every block/intake/exhaust like this...

Thanks, that has not ruined any blocks for you yet? I tried "Gasket scrapers" but they were **** and digging into the block.

I ended up using a metal wire brush and elbow grease... came out sweet!
