would this work.... stock tank and fuel cell? Diagram inside....
Please excuse my crude diagram. ok lets say this is the stock setup
Could you add a fuel cell, T it into the fuel lines and control each fuel pump via switches up front. The only problem I could see would be keeping the fuel from flowing through the T into the opposite tank. Any suggestions?

Yes, that would be a problem... You'd need some valves, too.
Why do you want to do this?

not worth it...IMO..... and from that diagram you need more valves.....maybe just a check valve on the outlet to the fuel cell..
you would need 2 check valves but the real problem would be the return line....you would almost need some sort of manual valve to keep the Cell fuel from returning to the tank and one to keep the tank return form the cell. it could but you would have alot of hardware and a mess.
then the other problem is sheer weight... if you're running two tanks of gas you just picked up a massive amount of weight...
