KONI warranty process???
Well I just found out tonight that my rear passenger side shock is blown and I remember that Koni has a lifetime warranty on my part so do you guys know what I do from here and who I contact to get it revalved or whatnot? Is there a fast turnaround time or do they just ship me out a part and I ship them back to koni?

You call up Koni North America and tell them your problem. You fax them a credit card #, copy of receipt for the shocks, and copy of car registration (proof of proper installation), and they will send a replacement shock out. Then you send in your old one, and if they determine it to be covered under warranty, they will not charge the CC. Otherwise it will be charged. I've already had to do this right after receiving mine because one of my adjusting tabs was damaged during shipment and broke off when I was assembling them. Good fast service.
Just wanted to make one correction.. They bill your card immediately I believe, then refund you the $ if it is damaged not due to manufacturing error (bottom out, etc.). If it's damaged because of user error I think they only charge you 50% of retail for the shock. Not a bad deal, but kind of a pita to send in registration, etc. IMO.

what do you mean by "proof of proper installation"? do you mean the car registration to see the model of the car, or what?

I think he means installation on the right vehicle. You installed the right strut/shock for the car it was designed for. That's why they ask for your registration.

I just went through this process. It was very painless. They want your registration to make sure that you were putting shocks designed for a Type R on a Type R. And not putting shocks designed for a Focus (or whatever) on your Type R, which caused you to break off a mounting tab, etc.
They did take my CC #, but did not charge my card. I called Koni NA a couple of months after this swap was done, because I couldn't remember if they charged my card. They don't charge the CC unless they determine the problem is not covered under warranty.
