Detailed Features

Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (C.M.M.D.): Infinity's C.M.M.D. technology delivers accurate performance with dramatically reduced distortion for incredibly lifelike sound. Additionally, the C.M.M.D. drivers can withstand extreme temperatures, moisture, humidity and sunlight.

C.M.M.D. Plus One Woofer Cones: These speakers use cones approximately 30% larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency. In addition, the C.M.M.D. cones virtually eliminate coloration due to cone flexing, resulting in less distortion and superior accuracy.

Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

UniPivot C.M.M.D. Dome Tweeters: Each speaker has a 1" C.M.M.D. dome tweeter that offers superior stiffness and damping compared to traditional metal domes. The UniPivot tweeter is angled (non-adjustable) and may be turned up to 355 degrees for optimum imaging and in-car frequency response. It is not made to turn 360 degrees. If the tweeter is turned 360 degrees or more, it will be damaged.

2-Way Crossovers: These speakers include computer-optimized, voice-matched crossovers. Each crossover features an 18dB/octave, 3.5kHz high-pass network for the tweeter and an 18dB/octave, 3.5kHz low-pass network for the woofer.

Crossover Connections: Each crossover has an 11" input lead terminated with bare wire and two 18" output leads, one for the woofer and one for the tweeter, terminated with female quick-slides. The positive woofer lead has a 0.205" female quick-slide and the negative woofer lead has a 0.110" female quick-slide. The positive tweeter lead has a 0.250" female quick-slide and the negative tweeter lead has a 0.187" female quick-slide. These quick-slides connect directly to the woofer and tweeter terminals on each speaker.

Crossover Dimensions: L=3.458", W=1.734", H=1.087"

Adapter Rings: These speakers come with three different mounting adapters. The adapters allow the speakers to be installed in a 6-1/2" opening, a 6-3/4" opening, or an oversized 6-3/4" GM/Chrysler opening.
