Default stock harness nto workin

i'll post my ssytem as i get pictures developed.

problem - my stock harness for the audio part doesnt work at all.the power wires(like 12volt, acc power) dont work. i replaced a 15 fuse that was blown and still dont work. i dont see any other blown fuses anywhere (in engine bay and under dash)

possible solution - can someoen tell me how to run wires off of other things, like find different souce of acc power wire and 12volt, thanks

I'm not quite following you here...

So you've already tested (w/ test light) and found that your factory harness isn't getting power? If so then you have a few options.
1. Trace the factory harness and see if you can't find the glitch.
2. Get a test light, if you don't already have one. You can run your constant power directly from the battery to the hu, MAKE SURE you throw a fuse in there though. Now for the remote turn on you'll need the test light. What you're looking for here is a power source that is "hot" when the car is on, but not live when the car is off. If you look in your fuse box, you should find one for like the power antenna, etc.

I hope that helps I'm a better "dooer" than a teacher.

...and you DID check the lil' 7.5 fuse in the box under the hood, right?

check for shorts in and around the area.

the fact the radio fuse was blown isn't a great sign right off the bat.

Is the fuse still blowing when you put it back in?

take out your harness and check three things with a 12 volt light or a meter.

Turn off your car. Check 12 volt wire against car chassis ground, do you see +12 or a light up?

Turn your switch to on, check the 12 volt wire again, it should be the same, check the remote/ign wire, it should say 12v.

Check the ground connection against ground for continuity (if you have a meter)

If all these things above are GOOD at the harness, its obviously something after it (ie deck)

check the back of the deck for a fuse it should be sunk in, replace if necessary.

that deck also looks like a power sucker did u get it installed yourself? If so, did you run a new power wire or use the one off the stock harness? Check your manual, i'm pretty sure it will say something like replacing the wire with a larger gauge than the stock 24 just to support the current draw.

Connect back the deck after the tests and report back to honda-tech...i'm not around till monday but there are a TON of other people here who know their ****
