B16 smokes on hard left turns
I just rebuilt my first gen b16 with CTR pistons, rings, cams, springs, retainers, and all new gaskets and bearings. It smokes only on very hard left turns and the smoke last for about 45 sec. and the #1 plug is black... the valve seals were replaced but not with honda ones. could it be my valve seals? i have about 1000 miles on it now and never abused it so i dont think it is the rings, any help is great. TIA

Sounds like you have oil leaking from the valvecover through the breather tube and into the intake on left turns. It's located on the RHS of the head so that makes sense that it only happens on left turns. My suggestion: Get an inline filter or a catch can setup on there and I bet it'll go away
you may wanna get a baffled pan if you are making hard turns. your engine may be lacking oil when the oil is sloushed to one side and the pick up is not getting enough oil from the sump.
i removed the breather hose from the valve cover to the intake and it has not smoked but there is no oil coming out of the vavle cover
is it normal for the breather to be sucking air in very hard and when i put my finger over the hole the idle slowes down and the car somethimes dies

Depends... Is your PCV valve shot? I figured they usually plug up, but maybe yours is stuck in a position that's open too wide. The breather sucks in air to make up for what's sucked out thru the PCV valve; which shouldn't be so much that your engine would die...
