idle @ 2G+ ???
Im very confused, my car in the mornings or even being turned off for even an hour will idle @ 2200 rpm. At first I assumed that it could be a vaccum but after it warms up it idles fine. what's the dillio!?
i recently got a test pipe, the muffler guy put in the o2 sensor into the test pipe. but heres the deal my car is a 94 obd1 but the motor is a 97 so i dont think the o2 sensor would have anything to do with it, would it?

I just had a similar problem with my friend's 94 GSR. We put a test pipe on it and it would die at stop lights. We put the stock cat back on and it works fine now. My guess as that he just needs a tune up. If you come up with a better solution please post it. I dont' think the sensor would make a difference but I'm not 100% on that.

Did you notice it before? I wanna say its the iacv but then I think it might be normal. Maybe the car is cooled down by then and does it to warm up. Iono I'd like to hear what someone else says.

usually if the car is OBD2 equipped or just plain running off an OBD2 ecu, then you'll get these weird idle or die problems since US OBD2 ecu's are very sensitive to the 2 02 sensors and the changes made to the exhaust system....moreover... replacing the cat w/a str8 pipe. Bluntly put....**** OBD2.

Are you getting any check engine lights at all?
Have you tried tightening up the idle adjustment screw on the throttlebody at all?

look on the backside of the FITV, you should see a round metal plate with 2 phillips screws holding it on. Remove them and the plate(end cap), inside you should see and round button with a slot in it. Use a flathead screwdriver and turn the button clockwise till its snug, reassemble.
yup me too...I have a 96 ls motor and i'm using an obd1 p75 ecu and running a test pipe and it idles at 2k-2200rpm when I start it up but usually idles normal after a few minutes...
