Default My first accident and almost my last =(

Long story short, cliffs at bottom fellas. Just cruising from my friends house, along with another buddy of mine on his BRAND NEW 5 HOURS OLD 03 R1. He is in front of me. We are going down a neighorhood street about 30mph, he is in front of me.

I notice a green pickup coming from the right and had to slam on her brakes, and I swerved out of the way, and I remember saying to myself "wtf", and as we were coming up to the stop sign I was going to tell my friend that the car almost hit me. Next thing I know, we are both flying off our bikes, and she plowed into us from behind. I land and my right leg is hurting right away, my friend is fine, even though he got hit worse, and his bike is inside this lady's truck.

People all rushed over, turned out she was DUI (yes, at 5pm) she got arrested, we are suing (sp). I was really lucky guys. Please be careful.

Damn, So sorry to hear that. My friend with his 2 day old 750 got hit from behind when he was sitting at a red light. The guy never got out to help or ask if he needed help. Then the guy that hit him trys to get my friend to take to "his friends shop" and fix it. So after my friend pulled the bike off his leg, The cops and tow truck showed up. The cop had no idea how bad the wreck was cause he estimated the damage at $100 (later a shop estimated at little over $3000). So, we conviced him to sue the guy that hit him.

EDIT: I hope that you get your bike back faster than my friend. He has been wanting for almost 3 weeks.

Told you 10seconds. hehe. dont matter how safe you ride, you can always crash or go down. mad stupid drivers everywhere!!!

glad you are ok though blue, i hate stupid cagers. almost got run over by 4 16 y/o girls in their moms camry last week. i was cursing them all to hell. make sure you add pain and suffering to your lawsuit against the insurance company. you can max out the ladys policy, which is usually 30k per person per accident. good luck in getting the old bat

Glad to hear you walked away with minor injuries. It could have been alot worse, especially with a drunk driver behind the wheel.

The bike looks to be in pretty good shape, looks like a new exhaust and blinker and it will be good to go, how much is left of your friends bike?
