Default Broken seat - how did this happen...?

I broke my driver's seat yesterday

I was in a rush to leave, went and sat in the car and when I leaned back in the seat, I heard a BANG and the front of the seat popped up. I rocked the seat back forward, thinking 'wtf'...

After getting out and inspecting, it turns out the seat rail has bolts that bolt into a corresponding welded nut on the seat pan itself. On my car the seat pan area where the nut is welded tore the metal somehow, so there's now no place for the seat rail to bolt to the pan. Gee, that makes me feel safe... luckily I was able to steal one of Mr. S's CRX Si seats... don't tell him... hahahah

Looks like I need new seats Anybody have recommendations? I'd definitely want something CHEAP, very subtle, and it would have to be lighter than stock. I do race the car so it must be tech-legal. Thanks!

I just bought another sparco sprint (my old one was a limited edition speed....but stupidly sold it) and it kicks ***. They're a little over 200 with the rails.

Hey I'd love Torinos... but $599 a pop?!? No way I can afford that!

Locally CRX Si seats are going for about $200-$250 (CDN). For a little more than that price I'd rather get a new Sparco seat, rather than a used wrecking-yard seat that some unknown person has been farting in for 10 years

The Sprint looks really nice! How much did they weigh, Mr. Spork?

They're light as hell, I'm guessing around 12 lbs

The Torino's that I've lifted are quite heavy. I'd say about 10 lbs heavier than stock EF seats.

Torino's are heavy...full reclinables plus super dense foam = way heavy.

Sprints have steel tube frames, minimal material and padding = 12lbs.
