Default For those of you with starion intercoolers....

hey, i was just curious to know how you mounted it on your car? did it require any cutting? how well does it fit behind the stock ef bumper? i'm considering my options for intercoolers and would like to hear some opinions...

i did a short search and came up with lots of f/s threads.. and only one ef-specific thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=283517

but there's not much in terms of actual installation details. any help is appreciated, thanks!

well, partially answering my own question.. 4gvtec said the following:

well on the two bars that come down from the top.there is nuts welded to the back of them.im having 4 peices welded to the intercooler and then they will be bolted down to the bars.

this clears the bumper? anyone have another way they mounted theirs? thanks again everyone!

i mounted mine like so--using 2 L brackets mounted to the tabs on the intercooler. if you look closely at the pic you can see it. i had to do a little cutting to make it fit behind the ww bumper, not sure what would need to be with the stock bumper

Well, I got mine to fit behind the vertical hood latch support even on my CRX. I did this by moving the radiator back about 3/4". Pics are available at:
