stroke an H23?
someone wrote the other day on here that they stroked their H23 to a 2.6. i don't remember who it was, but i'd like to here where they got their stroke kit, or if they were just making up stories
HEHEHE! I might know something about it... It will depend on the intention of your car. What I mean is relability for daily driving will be affected if you go to a 2.5+ ltr. My advice is to bore out the engine for the extra displacement. If you do intend to get more stroke out of this, you can weld the h23 crank, but it is not as strong as an h22a crank. I suggest when welding the crank, start with the strongest availible such as an h22a crank. Marine Crankshaft California does KILLER work. You can safely stroke this crank (for street use) from 90.7mm to 98mm. this combined with a 89mm bore will give you my current displacement of 2.44ltrs. This is not a cheap thing to do however, so keep that in mind. Also, if you are looking for reliability, don't bore out the block to 90mm as head gasket failure is all too common.
