I've got the skunk2 intake manifold for a 99 civic si, and I'm trying to install it onto my 1st gen b16a.....
the skunk2 doesn't have a spot for the fast idle valve, it also has no where for the lower port of my throttle body to flow anywhere.....
did i get the wrong intake manifold or what???

if you want fast idle with the Skunk2 then you will need a TB that has a fast idle with it, in the pic I have a 94+ GSR TB with the fast idle at the bottom, hope that helps

can I just ditch the whole sensor? what will that do to performance/error codes etc?
doesn't the actual sensor still have to bolt to the intake manifold? then with the hoses connect up to the throttle body???

that would make my idle pretty high in Canadian winters though...... So on a 94 throttle body their's a spot to bolt the fast idle sensor on???

a less blurry picture is here:

it looks just like the throttlebody dash pot (but lower down in the first pic) what is it?

that is the throttle dashpot , it is to keep the butterfly from slamming shut after you let off the gas . i ditched mine and the fast idle valve . no probs here.

nope not the throttle dashpot,
in the pic it's the one underneath, it's shaped like the throttle dashpot but bolts directly to the intake manifold and has no connections to the throttle body...
In your picture it would be attached to the grey hose above the "v" in "VTEC" except on my b16a manifold their's a hole into the manifold instead of a nipple and two bolt holes beside it

I was just going to treat it as a hose junction and arrange the vacuum lines accordingly....... so yeah basically junk it, unless anyone knows why it's there? what it's for?
or has a reason to not just rip it off and play street hockey with it?
