somethings wrong with my VTEC!!!! someone please help
my VTEC isnt working correctly, i dont know wuts wrong. well, as i was catching the freeway on ramp, i gunned it and VTEC'd it in 2nd. the on ramp curves and as i was on the curve, the motor just stopped making power like i hit redline. but thats impossible cuz i was only at like 7,500 rpm and i have a chipped P28 to redline at 10,000 with VTEC engagement at 5,700. so when it stopped making power, i shifted up to 3rd and the motor worked normally. but since i was scared that somethign went wrong, i exited the freeway and VTEC'd at every light. now the VTEC hits at 6,200 rpm everytime and sometimes the damn VTEC doesnt even engage until like 7,500-8,000 rpm. when i take turns or curves, VTEC doesnt even kick in at all.
i checked the VTEC soleniod connection and its seems ok. does anyone have any idea of wut the problem is? any info is much appreciated

Oil level should be at the highest dot. Being in between dots means you are low, not "okay". Check when cold.
Same thing happened to me when the oil was on the bottom dot. As soon as I topped it up it was all ok. I'm pretty sure it is an engine protection thing so that you can't puch the engine hard if the oil is low.

Yup...when the oil pressure goes low, VTEC no workie.

No, it has to do with low oil pressure not engaging the vtec solenoid.

Like everyone else who has no idea - make it up!
But think about it - would you want your engine being pushed hard by VTEC if there is not enough oil in it?

Your VTEC is obviously wearing out.
You need to install the smaller B15 (rare JDM motor) oil filter so that your VTEC kicks harder. Dyno tested for a 8hp and 6ft-lbs gain all through VTEC.

Yeah, I had to replace my vtec at 65,000 miles. I was able to get it covered under warranty though.

This is a very good point. I added one on my B20Vtec and she gained 12 horsepower after tuning
