Let me get this straight... When you mill the head, it retards the cam timing, or ignition timing? So to fix the cam timing you use adj gears and set them to 0,0 and your problem is fixed? Or do you advance them est. 1,1 to make up for the retard. As with the ignition timing if so.. advance that too? Not sure because when i get my head milled, i usually have adj cam gears and set them at 0,0 b4 any tuning of course. I just want to make sure the problem is solved then...
