I am changing the timing belt, WP and other stuff on my sis's 95 Prelude Si. Now I am having some trouble w/ the crank pulley bolt (go figure!!!)
I have searched and while everyone says to use a breaker bar, I cannot see how they have that much room. I am using the Honda tool to hold the pulley, I have a 19mm socket, 3 in. extension and an 18in breaker bar. Looking at the driver's side the Honda tool is braced on the floor like this " / " and that is about the same angle of the breaker bar when I put it on the bolt. I push on the breaker and the thing is BENDING on me.
So, how am I supposed to get an extension on the breaker bar when there is a stabilizer bar in the way???
And the bolt does come off counter-clockwise, right??
And no, I do not have air tools (unfortunately).
Thanks for all the help.

Yes, it does come off counter clockwise, normal thread, and it is tight, 181lb. ft. I beleive is the spec on it. Can you get a pipe to go over the breaker bar, essentially extending the length of the breaker bar? You really gotta lean on that one......
have you tried putting a block of wood or something for support right at the knuckle of the socket wrench, where the socket connects to the wrench. it helps keep the ext straight and the torque is focused more on that crank. i had to pull mine almost 180 degrees and adding repetitive thrust the last about 45 degrees. this is all i can give in advice that worked for me, i even stood on it at one point
