wtf is wrong w/mycar
my car wont start. when i have the head light on (very dim) and the car wont crank or start, when the light is off the car crank but still no start. has this happen to any one before
i thought it was the battery too but is not , i test my battery at autozone and they said it was still good but i went ahead and drop it off over night. the next day i pick it up and put back in my car and still do the same thing. this all happen when i broke my timing belt.

If you broke the timing belt on your H22a, and the belt broke while you were driving you most likely bent some valves (unless you had them checked!) which would cause you to not have enough compression for the to start period!

i was driving about 35mph in 3gr when the belt borke. 2week later i got the head off and take it the shop to see any bent valves. but was everything was still good and no valves was bent (lucky me). i replace head gasket, water pump and timing belts and than put everything back together and here i am trying to finger out why the car wont start

boosted.....lol....der!!
I know its blatently obvious but check your ground on your batt/alternator....dumb things happen all the time, and clean your connections on the batt.

i more or less agree with corey on this one, if the car turns over, but won't start, i think the timing is off, i just figured that would be funny b/c mostly everyone said tha battery, i just thought i'd toss it up a bit
Did they do a load test on your battery? From what I understand, typical batteries don't react well to four or more charge cycles, until the battery won't hold a load anymore; yet the battery still had good voltage. This happened to my old truck. The battery lasted 8 years HAHA, but some batteries crap out earlier than others. So make sure you get a load test if u didn't get one. I figured this might help. good luck
with dim head lights, its either your battery or your alternator. stop making us guess and just replace the battery.... if it still doesnt start, replace the alternator on that same day.
