recently ive been having some bad hesitation. according to my safc and NOT my tach, the rpms have been bouncing all over the place. this was what my last dizzy was doing when it went to hell. however, the tach would jump like a sob as well as the safc, not just the safc. i assumed bad ignitor/ blown dizzy etc. since mine is still under warenty i was able to get a brand spanking new one.
new one installed, stock coil pulled out leads ran to msd coil. drove car, same ****. i have a spare coil, threw that in same ****. check grounds.... redid allready redone grounds, same ****
(dont mind the coil wire crossing everything else, looping and making knots, thats not how it is
)
as you can see the safc and tach are getting their rpm signal from the same location, (negative side of coil) with the same guage wire etc. however the tach never indicated that the rpms are jumping around as much as they are:
this is me holding throttle at 2,000rpms (indicated by the tach) and the safc clearly shows (mabey its blurry
) that the rpms are not actually behing held at 2,000rpm but are jumping above and below that very rapidly. this happens at idle, normal crusing, wot etc etc. im thinking that its happening so fast that the tach never responds to it. i also thought the safc may be grounded improperly etc, its not, thought it was broken, its not, this only happens once the car gets into closed loop. plugs and wires are relitively new, rotor is brand new cap is less than a year old w/o signs of wear.

Check the wires that connect to the MAP sensor, I beleive they are the yellow and white wires that seperate the SAFC between the engine and ECU. Disconnect those wires and run it through the ECU to the MAP. Use this to see if it stops jumping around.
