Yes it is. Only quiet at a certain throttle point but otherwise it's always booming.

I love the sound of my spoon n1, its loud the first few days, but you get used to it. but I dont have stock header of b-pipe, i dont even have a resonator, so its a little louder than most.

i dont know how it is with everyone else's Spoon N1, but at the 1-4000 rpm range, its pretty loud..

but once you get on the gas and take it to redline, it gets a lot more quiet than expected.. i love the sound of it!

oh, and the silencer doesn't do chit for me.. sounds the same lol.

It's way louder in person than shown in the video clip.

However when it's in VTEC it amazing!

It sounds nice when you're wide open throttle and near redline. You hear the motor scream more than anything. Sounds great. I love mine.

Sounds good. Interesting to hear it on an ITR. Does it drone around 4000RPM?

My car has been running an HKS header, no cat, and no resonator with the Spoon N1. It is loud. Near redline though it sounds positively savage and amazing. Certainly not for everyone but I love it. My Speed Inc. header is now on order though to replace my mangled HKS one.

i actually LOVE the way it looks. most people like a "larger" tip with a little more "shine". but i think spoons philosophy (except for their blinging tower bars ) is simplicity and functionality. the n1 works well and that's all spoon wants. the functionality of the n1 makes it beautiful to me

as for sound, since changing out to stock and lending to mikehonda, my car is lexus-like , so it was quite a change. but it's not very loud. only at low rpms will the sound "drone"...but as everyone else is commenting, it is stock-like at the higher rpm range.

I agree with you there - but i do think it's loud.. i know many of you have experience with louder cars, but for a sheltered little bugger like me - i had to put the silencer on after my first day with the muffler. My head just could'nt take it.

I have an AEM CAI intake, and since putting on the N1 it did very little to vtec (if anything at all), but it did drastically change neutral/lower rpms.

Heres a video i just put together for you guys - DO NOT EXPECT MUCH - All you can hear is the intake, not much of the n1... the video is nearly 4 megs. And the silencer WAS ON.

And it (the silencer) makes alot of difference, the silencer cuts away alot of the droning (not to mention any beneficial power probably) and it does little to quieten down vtec.

Just right to me - at least until my ears get used to the noise abit more, than bye bye silencer.

For those of you running the silencer with the Spoon N1, I'd be interested to know if it has the same effect, in terms of horsepower loss, as it does on an S2000. At a local dyno day a few months ago, a guy I know lost 11 RWHP using the silencer. I can't believe it has that much of an effect. Next time somebody here dynoes, do a run without the silencer, then the next run with the silencer and compare the results.

Im actually going to hit the dyno soon, and see what the power difference are going to be with the silencer.
