Default does 3g = 4g

Do the suspension parts from a 3g fit a 4g. brakes, suspension wishbones/springs/struts, rear wheel steering parts etc...

just interested. The late 3g had similare mechanical spec to the early 4g 2.0 model, 4ws, abs,16 valve etc.

Thanks

It is probable the most common in the UK, with the 2.2 vtech being second and the 2.3 being last by a long way.

The JDM was also heavily 2.0 with 2.2 vtechs as second.

The 3G and 4G have very few common parts.
Brakes will fit with a little modding but nothing else will without a lot of work.

Not sure why you'd want to put 3G parts on a 4G though .

you may want to drop the 'h' as well .

4th gen rear shocks are basically the same as 3rd gen rear shocks except the 4th gens are a bit longer. I know this because I have shortened 4th gen Konis on the rear of my 3rd gen. But yeah, you don't want to put any 3rd gen parts on a 4th gen. 4th gen parts on a 3rd maybe. *Thinks an H22 would be nice if I were not broke.*

$4g is worth more than $3g! BTW, that would be some nice pocket change. Just playin, sorry to ruin your thread, but the title was too tempting. I couldn't resist a post. Wish I could answer your question, but I am uneducated, like usual! I'm still learning...

You sure about the H22 LSD fitting?! I had heard something about modifying the Type R diff to fit but have never heard anything about an H22 diff working.

Default Re: (chrisb) why use 3g on a 4g

why use 3g on a 4g.....cost.

A complete 3g car would cost me $100 -$200 and my 4g abs is playing up and I think I need the sensors. New these cost £150 (UK pounds) each so if I need 2 and they are the same part then I have a complete car for the same cash.

False economy !

not only are those parts different but the costs for new are almost the same anyway .

And I'm pretty sure the sensors can be had for a lot less than those prices.

I have 3G's and 4's.. I wouldn't downgrade parts the way you are considering .
