smogging the y8

Default smogging the y8

as you can see i have been posting a few about the y8 with the IAT sensor not plugged and the charcoal canister red tube isnt plug as well...will it pass on dyno? i need to get it smog asap..i just cant find any place that'll do it. someone was gonna do it for me for $200, but thats way too costy for me. i thought the y8 is a legal engine.? im from los angeles, ca. anyone recommend me to any place or know any place? please..i need to know ASAP.. thanks.

to make it legal you have to be running the ecu for the y8 and obd2, plus all of the smog equipment from that year.

i need to smog my zc, and ill pay $200, thats cheap in southern california, cause some places are chargeing $300. yes just hook up all your smog from the car you got the motor from and ecu, just like the other guy said and see what happens

AAANNNDDD you must have all the emissions stuff hooked up properly. That means you have to get all those plugs that aren't plugged in PLUGGED IN!

Don't you have to go and get the car checked by a inspection station (not a smog check... an inspection) and get a BAR sticker? As far as I know, you have to get it to pass BAR because the engine you put in the car was not an engine offered for your year of car. If you put in a standard Si engine it would be a totally different matter.

yea you would need to go to a smog referee, to get a BAR sticker. without that its still not legal...
