Default distributor

After I swaped a 97 GSR in a 95 RS. the car was running fine but now. there seems to be a cell and I think it's the crank pulley so I guess I have to change the distributor to an OBD1. Now my Q is how do I change the distributor? do I just take the bolts out and just replace the new one or do I have to do some adjustments?
thanx for the help guys

If you are changing the whole distributer, just unplug from the harness and unbolt the three bolts and switch distributers. Or I believe you can just rewire to two plugs instead of the only one that the Obd2 motors have, but I'm not positive.

You don't sound very sure what your problem is. Check the codes and make sure before changing parts, especially a distributor.

well from what i know is the obd1 on the dizzy doesnt really matter...everything is the same other then one plug with obd2 and 2 plugs for obd1, the only other variable is internal or external coil...other than that the guts in the dizzy are the same....

also your running the obd1 ecu correct?

if the engine wont crank after you swaped the dizzy make sure your ignitor is good and hooked corectly. The ignighter is the green thing in there with 3 wires plugged into it. I bought a used distributor and that part was bad. also if the key on the distributor has been taken off. make sure you didnt put it on wrong. its either on right or 180 degrees off. The key that i'm talking about its the part that fits in the slot at the end of the intake cam. I have rebuilt and hybrided a bunch of b series distributors.... email me at remix2k@yahoo.com if you need more info or pictures

hope this helped
