Re: How to rewired an f22b distributor. No spark
Is it an OBD1 or OBD2 engine, that could change a lot. How many wires are coming out of the distributor?
Your stock 1996 OBD2 F22B2 distributor only had the CYP sensor located in the distributor. While the other two sensors (TDC & CKP) were mounted down on the oil pump housing behind the crank. they ran off triggers from the crank shaft pulleys. If your F22B is of the OBD1 variety, you will need to rewire the TDC and CKP wires from the crankshaft up to the distributor. The OBD1 distributor houses all three sensors, CYP, CKP and TDC.
Here is a wire diagram of a similar OBD1 F series with the sensors wired in the distributor.

Yup..... you need to rewire the sensors in the distributor as shown in the diagram above. You will find the 4 wires for the TDC and CKP in a long wire sleeve that ran down the back of the engine to behind the crank pulley.

the other option is to transfer your old oil punp assembly with crank sensor assembly to the new engine
then you can leave the wiring the same
