Default Is it worth/possible

to fight a ticket for Running a red light ticket caught by a photo radar? I really would like to have some comments and help on this.

To make the story short, a mistake was made....no funny excuses.... I think lights were not seen because of the sun glare ..no point in blaming the Arizona sun for that!!! I got the following my posatl mail a) photos of the back of my car with the number plates
b) photo from the front where you can almost make out "me" driving the car ( sun visor was down so you can't see me completely but still figure out the face )
These are the Options in the order I would like to do I have
Option-1 => Plead Not responsible. I prefer this

Take the help of an attorney..claim that my brother who was visting me was driving the car
btw I am from Asia and I can claim that the person on the photo is my brother and he has gone back to his country.. ..he was driving my car without my permission.. etc etc what do you guys think about this? Are they going to buy this? Do I have to give further evidence?

Option-2 => Not sure whether I want to do this
Pay the $200 fine. Have the points go to DMV records and insurance records. Not sure about the points...or increase in the premium for the next 2,3 years

btw I can't go a defensive driving school and have no DMV points as I have attended one school one year back
Option-3 => Not possible
Tell them that somebody was driving the car at that time...
(They give you an option to say that..but you have to provide them the drivers name , address, license etc)

don't lie to them about your brother driving your car unless you can back it up. If they ask you to prove something and you can't, you're fuxored. You may also get in trouble for letting someone w/o a liscense drive your car ??? I don't know.

I'd say go to court. Don't lie. Here in CO they reduce the ticket a lot if you show up at court and take their offer of a lesser fine.

In NYC, it doesn't matter who was driving the car. The registered owner receives the photo ticket in the mail and is responsible for it. As in your situation, since they can't really prove who was driving the car, a guilty plea doesn't come with any points here so it's just like any other non-moving traffic violation.

I can claim that he has gone back to his country...he did not have US license..I didn't know that he drove my car. etc etc.....
