Default All Motor RSX Type S or Turbo RSX Type S?

My plans are buying turbo for my car....but i do hear a lot of people buying comptech headers and hondata reflash-4....and they are running good times...mid-low 13's.....i was wondering if i should go w/ turbo or juss make it an fast all motor RSX Type S.....b/c if i turbo it, its gonna cost a lot of money to lower the compression, cuz i know RSX are high compression cars....so what are ya'lls opinion...but don't get me wrong...i love the BLOW OFF VALVE sound!

If you look at what edo had to do to get into the 13s then you will know how much teh all motor route will cost, but I have never seen timeslips from any turbo rsx. Somebody post one, so I can see it for myself.

On another note, why not wait for hytech to come out with their all motor kit, or turbo kit, and they should both get you into the 13's.

all motor k24 route, or even mild modded k24. Cant argue w/ displacement and torque.

All Motor!!!
DC5's (as with most other Honda's) being a FF car, won't see the full benefits of a turbo, if you want to go FI, a RWD or 4WD car might be better

also, the typeS has a pretty good valvetrain and relatively high C.R. to begin with, I see it having more potential going all motor than FI

just my $0.02

Good Luck

edit- but BOV's sure sounds sweet

Yeah it'd be shitty to blow your girl's motor... You think her mom would pay to have it rebuilt...?

Me too. IMO, I feel that you get more respect and pride when you're running low-mid 13s' N/A than hitting the same tyme with a turbo.

well. RSX's get some pretty good times with turbo, but i dont think it's a good idea to turbo them. i mean, it's an aluminum block.
I say, if you want a really bad *** turbo car, get something like a 300ZX, supra, 240SX w/ sr20det swap, cuz those have iron blocks and better engine components for turbocharging.

Go turbo, it's the best way to get the most power out of your engine. An NA setup that will even touch what a turbo will do is very expensive and very hard on the engine (look up tensil stress)

there are pros and cons with both set-ups. you have to ask yourself what you're looking for. if you want nothing but tire melting power and high hp# bragging rights go turbo. because whenever someone says 'turbo' people oogle over it. if you're going to be driving it daily, and want to do the occasional drag strip visit/roadrace i'd recomend all motor.

i myself love all-motor, there's something about 9000 rpms that gets my blood going. but everyone's different. choose what you think will work best for you. however, no matter which route you take your engine, it will break faster than a 100% stock engine. nothing is guaranteed in the world of modifying. good luck

Well bro it all comes down to what you want to do in the end. Either route will run you about the same in the cash department, and the gains will be about the same without blowing **** up.

I am going the all motor route for my S. I was thinking about going turbo, but I live in Arizona and its hot as hell here so I decided to go all motor instead. Well good luck with the decision bro.

go with all-motor..the rsx-s has proven to be an excellent all-motor car, for starters just get hondata, race header, intake,exhaust..then if you want go the route edo and peter went, w/ ITR manifold,ITR cams, ITR reflash or go w/ the Toda engine package for the rsx-s
