Default So what should I do eh?

Well, my motor has now approximately 2300 broken in miles of shifting at 4500 RPMs, i ordered my Hytech Header since March....Here's the deal..

1) I need to get the car tuned, obviously but i can't get it tuned without the header...why? because the stock 2 1/4 inch exhaust manifold will not bolt up to my 3 inch exhaust that i'm using, that was left over from my "turbo" days

2) I need to get my emissions done, well regardless the fact that my car will not pass emissions without a doubt in my mind, but since the car is untuned, the car tends to ping and knock after 4500 RPMs, so no emissions, no tag sticker, no driving, no fun....

So Folks, should i cancel my order and get a toda header?, save some money, and get my car tuned, wait it out since i've waited since March...quit venting, and continue being patient? well again as usuall all suggestions will be greatly apprecitated, Eric

If I were you, I would continue to wait for the Hi-Tech header. Perhaps purchase a DC JDM 4-1 CC in the meantime ... then sell once you recieve the Hi-Tech?

yeah i considered that option, called the local NappI store and they would have to order it and would be like 2 weeks to receive, plus it's $370, that's dyno tuning time lol, so i'm kinda split on what to do, no doubt i want to rip on my car, but most of all i want it to be tuned, this is my 4th motor, or was that the 5th, but i'm sick of rebuilding you know

see if you can rig up a cheap cat-back using the stock header in the meantime - any exhaust place should be able to do that for cheap

Well folks, the Hitech, is probably goin to be canceled and replaced by another reputable custom header maker, i will disclose the information once the header is finished and dyno tuned, so i don't get flamed....i'll keep everyone posted, Eric
