90-91 ex spindles
can anyone tell me if the 90-91 civic ex spindles are the same length as the 88-91 civic non ex ones or the 90-01 integra and 92-00 civic ones. the tegs and 92-00 civics all share the 10.4" rotors and the 88-91 non ex civics have the 9.5" rotors. the 90-91 civic ex has 10.4" rotors and can be used with a big brake upgrade but i am wondering if they are stock length or the longer such as the tegs. i know the teg spinldes will bolt up and work but they change the geometry a little bit.

well you can always buy them at the dealer, but i think they were like $500+
I had to find them in junk yards. I found one local (seattle) and one I had to have shipped from a yard in Ohio. They are kinda a PITA to find. I would try a local junk yard that has a national parts locator. Then have them sand blasted and new bearings put in. Then you should be good to go!!

there are 2 sets in my local yard....i was going to buy them and try to sell them, but i dont know what they sell for. if i can only sell them for like $10 more than i got them for its not worth spending the whole day in the junkhole beating on rusty **** that doesnt want to come apart. when i got mine the only thing that needed replacement was the ball joints....but the stock Si knuckles needed them anyways so i didn't feel bad.

i think the rotors have to be drilled to the right 4x100mm, and the calipers have to be milled somewhat to fit right. but thats just from an article i read somewhere i have never done it before.

I found mine on http://www.car-part.com
National "junk" search engine
Works great and I paid about 108 for the whole setup shipped to my house. (same price the local u-pull it yourself was charging)
So, for no work, shipped. I didn't think it was too bad.

I did the fastbrake conversion. I posted earlier about my suspicions that the EX knuckles aren't needed, but it fell by the wayside. The 10.2" brake calipers have the same bolt spacing as the 9.5" calipers, and they appear to bolt right onto the existing spindle. I haven't tried it, but I was thinking of getting a caliper and 10.2" rotor from a junkyard, or heck, just do the swap at ecology to see if the parts will work.
Right now I'm riding on 11" rotors with the 9.5" teg rears, and the car stops NOW.
Good kit, recommend it, but if you're on a budget go for the 10.2" conversion, if you can find the knuckles. Again, they might not be needed, but I can't get confirmation on it. Here's my install of the brakes. http://www.wolfenet.org/gallery/brakes

I always wondered if you just go the EX disc, Ex caliper mount, and EX Caliper would it work? Would those caliper mount be able to adapt that stuff to your regular Civic knuckles?
yes that will work fine...the 11.1 prelude VTEC rotors and accord wagon (same as ITR) calipers are just an upgrade from the 10.2 ex rotors and calipers...also look into the NSX setup...
I did the ex rotors/calipers/caliper mounts and the rotor got stuck on the caliper mount with my DX knuckles. Tried it, Failed...bought the EX knuckles.
So the 10.2 rotor would actually fit, but the caliper mount would hit it? It has to be pretty close, I went fastbrakes because I couldn't find EX knuckles, and didn't want to waste time shopping.
I didn't see exactly what was being asked there...The Ex caliper, rotor and bracket will not work with the DX, SI, or HF knuckle, the 90-91 civic ex was the only 4th gen that had the 10.2 rotors, that is why you must use the 90-91 ex knuckles.
