This is on a '99 civic with a Tec distributor and an MSD distributor cap... When cutting the wires that lead to the positive and negative terminals on the coil, should you cut the wires that lead to the soon-to-be-removed internal coil at a point before it reaches the distributor? That's what I would think... but I can't afford to take chances on the daily driver. The wires that hook to the terminals on the internal coil have secondary connections to another piece inside the distributor, but I don't know what the function of the connections are or what will happen if I cut them. If you've done this install, please help!
