Default mileage for mpfi

hey i did a search, was looking for more. wanted to know the mpg before u did the mpfi on the dx engine and after, with about the same amount of driving. some said that there is no difference, and even said that they got more mpg, but i read somewhere that since its running the si ecu on the dx engine, its running rich. thx 4 da replies

I did an MPFI swap on my car a couple months ago. I get a little over 30mpg in the city driving normal (pretty aggressive) and over 35 on the highway.

my mpfi swap made no difference in milage... I'm currently getting about 30 with very aggressive (never shift below 4.5k) driving.

wouldnt the si ecu make a difference in the amount of fuel directed to the combustion chambers though, causing it to run rich? im getting all kinds of different responses.

A little, but not enough to outweigh the advantages of a more efficient system of fuel delivery
