Helmet Question
AGV is pretty decent.. they have the Rossi replicas, X-Vent series, etc. you want to look for a helmet that fits you very well and has the features you want because just about all of them are DOT/SNELL rated. Once you get into the higher priced helmets its all about graphics and features/creature comforts
That said, helmets that get the best reviews lately aree the Shoei X-11 (supercedes the XSP-II which was listed earlier) and the Arai RX-7 Corsair (supercedes the RX7-RR4) with many people giving OGK FF3's great marks. FF4's just came out too. I personally ride with an OGK FF3-GP and love it.. light, great fit and cheaper than both top of the line arai and shoei.. loud as sin but hey that's what a race helmet flow is supposed to be like
and not everyone and their mom has it.

This is the most correct statement EVER!!!
It does matter who makes it, but from the top helmet manufacturers, you need to get a helmet that fits your head properly.
Arai
Shoei
Sumoy
AGV
etc, etc, etc....
Try it on, when brand new, it should fit REALLY tight. It will wear in, and if you get too big of a helmet, it will "lift" off your head at freeway speeds. This is NOT good.
I personally have 3 shoei's and I like them, but NOTHING compares to the comfort and fit of my ARAI.
If you're looking for a good starter helmet, I have 2 available. Both Shoei RFR's, both white in color, both never been dropped. $50/ea, I have a small and a medium.

to my Arai Rx7-rr4, it fits like a glove. The Corsair was not out when I got my Arai, Corsairs are F'ing expensive though!
