91 CRX B18c5.....what mount kit to buy???
Hey guys....i just want to find out which mount kit has had the most success....or is the best quality...Hasport or Place... the mounts i buy also have to be able to fit the hydro tranny, will the hasport mounts work with the hydro tranny?
why not HCP? placed my b18c just like stock without any clearance issues..except maybe my headers scrap every so often but thats more to do with the streets in my area being horrible...
the hydro tranny will not work with any B-Series mount kit like the Hasport or HCP. you will have to make a custom bracket, im sure some people have done it , so search.
YEAH cable is the shizzznit, hydro sucks. why go through the trouble (hydro tran)
you will have to take a sawzaw to your firewall and im not sure if it will be as quick.
Hydro trannys are just to liberal when it comes to making quick shifts because the hydro is assisting you durring a shift to make it easier for the driver. Wack! cable is definitly the way to go unless you wish to shift slow....HAHAH
cable may seem like a bitch at first but you get it after a while and its much more fun to beat on because i think it can take a lot more abuse than a hydro

Oh yeah why not HCP, i have the four mount kit and they are identicle to hasport and cost about 100 less. if i didnt go hcp i would go with place racing, i heard good things about these mounts but didnt care to pay that much for them
All of the companies have been tested, tried, and true... just buy the one you think looks the coolest I dunno... I went Hasport personally... and I love em... lifetime warrantied baby!

Everything you posted there is just plain wrong. You wont need a sawzall, the hydrolic system is only for the clutch and has NOTHING to do with shifting, the hydro trannies are STRONGER than the cable trannies, and you will have an easier time finding gearsets or LSDs for a hydro.
Basically, the oposite of everything you just posted is true.

thats why you sell the tranny for major loot(they hold their value well) and find yourself a b series cable tranny and bolt that on. a bseries tranny is a b series tranny
i wouldnt get place racing because what happend my a friend of mines driver side mount. one of the bolt holes connected to the engine stud cracked and broked off. and now the whole engine is limping forward because theres no front mount.
im not too sure if the hasports limp the engine forward after some time, because its also 3 mounts.
i'd personaly would get HCP, 4 mounts, cant go wrong!

i put a jdm itr motor in my 88si. used the billet hasport. they were more but id heard to many bad things about the others with the angle and location of the engine once installed. but i have only seen hasport.
how would you get the hydro tranny to work in a rex anyway? ive heard its too much of a cost factor to bother with. so you wouldnt buy hasport cause of 100 bones but would convert cable to hydro. dont see the login unless hydro conversions give you back 100 bones in labor and a free hydro setup. the cable works great and many itr drivers at the track talk **** about their own hydro and wanna buy the hydro to cable conversion kit from whomever sells em.

there is a post about how to do cable to hydo. I have it saved if you cant find it. I wish CRX came with hydro trannies they are ten times better then cable and anyone that things cable is better then hydro needs to go sit in the corner.
