94 GSR swap into a 92 CX. just started the car after completing the swap and it sits at 4500 rpm. what could be the potential problem?
the TPS is at 0.6v at closed throttle and 4.4v at WOT. would the TPS cause this?
as for the wiring, knock sensor went to D3, IAB (which i've been told is a two wire harness on the passenger's side) which contains a red wire and a black/yellow wire (black stripe and yellow solid). the red wire for IAB went to A17 and the black/yellow wire went to A25.
for the 02 sensor, i spliced the harness on the back of the block, with a quick splicer, but not from the harness on the 02 sensor itself.
here are the wires that matches up to the 02 sensor from the harness on the back of the block:
02 color | harness on the back of the block | ECU
---------- -------------------------------------- ------------------
White= black/green to D14
black= black/orange to A6
black= black/yellow to B1
green= red/white to D22

the car is running only through the cat right now and we replaced all of these things as well:
-timing belt
-water pump
-tensioner
-clutch and flywheel
-used TPS
-A/C belt
-alternator with alternator belt
-plugs, wires, cap and rotor
-fuel filter
-Denso O2 sensor

When I first started my swap, it sat at about 4K for like 10 minutes.
Then I shut it off, and started it back up...sat at about 1.5K till it warmed up, then idled perfect.

did you calibrate your tps sensor?
also cover the throttle body with your hand and see if the car shuts off, if it dosent shut off you have a vacuum leak.

i added the things i've upgraded/replaced and the wiring.
also the TPS is off by a tenth of a volt and four tenths at WOT. so it is at 0.6v closed throttle and 4.4v at WOT. would this cause it it idle so high

Definitely sounds like a major vacuum leak to me...

i'll look into that. any other suggestions?
and as far as my wiring goes, if the wires are incorrect, would it cause this high rpm "idle?"

sounds definitely like a vacuum leak plus other things.
make sure the IACV is clean, and verify what others have said above. keep this thread posted too
