running NX on F23A1
yes, I've searched but some of my questions werent answered...
I have a 2000 LX 5spd with AEM CAI, DC ceramic header, and APEXi WS cat back... I just recently acquired an NX "STAGE ONE" EFI SINGLE NOZZLE SYSTEM (35-50-75 h.p)... from research on their site they state:
"It requires no engine disassembly, no fuel system modifications or timing retards. Simply install the "Shark" nozzle in the intake tract approximately 2-6 inches in front of the throttle body and connect the fuel solenoid to the high-pressure side of the injection rail and your ready to go."
I would like to run the largest shot (75) but will start with the lower 50shot first so I get used to it... I know most of you running nitrous recommend such things as colder spark plugs, and retarding by 2 degrees, but am I safe w/o doing that since their site says so?
I dont mind getting colder plugs since that's not expensive.. but what will I need to retard my ignition?
and what precautions/differences should be aware of when using 75 vs 50? higher octane?
thank you in advance for your "positive" advice....

I highly suggest doing all those.
put in colder plugs, preferably ones with short ground straps, like the zex or i think bosch makes them.
retard the timing by about 2-4 degrees, you can find out how here:

and always use the highest octane fuel you can get in your area.

This doesnt work for OBD2 (which a f23a1 is).

i ran a 50 shot on the f23 when i had it in my 98 coupe, dropped my time from a 17.0 to 15.7. all i added in addition to the Nitrous kit was a fpr and colder plugs, i used ngk v-powers with a 7 heat range. ran fine without any problems, i wouldnt recommend pushing more than a 50 on a stock f23, i know a couple people that have blown their motors from spraying 75's. but hey, not everyone has the kinda bad luck they had so if you want to try it good luck!
