e-brake not working to well on hills
when is the last time you had the brake shoes replaced? have you tried to adjust the e brake handle? i have a similar problem, but mine is caused by having a rear disc swap and not having it dialed in correctly so i put it in gear when im on hills.
nope never checked, last time i check i think i'm almost done with my front brake pads , so i guess i better get it check tomorrow. damn i'm such a lazy ***
the rear drums are supposed to adjust themselves.. but i find they don't, so i manually adjust them every now and then to keep the rear brakes nice and responsive, and i find that when i have recently adjusted them, the ebrake clicks only a few times, and is nice and solid feeling. try adjusting them/replacing shoes.
Take the plasatic cover off the ebrake handle. There is a 12mm (possibly 10mm) nut in there. Adjust this with an open end wrench. This will tighten the ebrake cables. If the cables are loose the ebrake will not work that well.
