I traded my Civic hatch earlier tonight
A friend of mine offered me a deal I couldn't pass up today. He offered to trade me his 87 MKIII Supra turbo for my 90 Civic DX hatch and $1k. I had a 90 MKIII Supra turbo before I bought my Civic, but blew the engine because I had a blown head gasket and was pushing 14psi of boost.
My Civic was lowered 2" with 5 spoke GSR wheels on Faulken Azenis 205/50/15's, a custom built tranny with Si and ZC gears, and a short shifter.
The Supra I got has Eihbach springs, Tockio shocks, n/a MKIV wheels, 3" Random down pipe, 3" HKS Dragger exhaust, and is pushing 12 psi of boost.

Old Schoool... BUt still nice. Why would your friend want to trade though. Is there something wrong with it?

The car doesn't have anything really wrong with it. The front bumper is chipped a little, and other than a that and a couple of dings the car is in great shape. My friend decided to trade with me because he's been building another one for a little while now and is getting close to finishing it, and he wanted a daily driver that got good gas mileage. I'm extremely happy to have another Supra turbo. I've loved the cars since i test drove my first one. I'll probably end up getting either another Civic hatch or a CRX before winter comes though. But an Si this time.

Here's a couple pics of the new Supra I took today. I'm very happy with the car. As for the head gasket, it was replaced about 10k miles ago and torqued to around 90ft-lbs.
The car definately pulls harder than my last MKIII turbo.

Good trade!
I love the front end look of the MKiii over the MKiv, but the MKiv's *** is still beautiful.
What's on the future mod list? Hard pipes? IC? FCD? etc etc?!
I use to have a '88 turbo (auto with targa). I miss it...even though it was heavier than lisa kubo and swayed more than lisa kubo's gut during a jog.
But it was fun! good luck and retorque those headbolts!

My future mods include, injectors, either a new turbo maybe a T04, or an upgrade for the stock CT-26, new front mount I/C, some sort of fuel management depending on how much upgrading I do this winter, and I'm going to make a manual boost controller for it soon and take the shims off of the wastegate, and I'm also going to upgrade the fuel pump. Oh, and a Greddy metal head gasket.

my '88 Supra auto with 3" dp (dumped after the DP, so it was loud as fug), cheap air filter, and 11psi ran 14.505@98mph hitting fuel cut at every shift.
mind you, the 3" DP was the most expensive part of the car ($150) and the boost was managed by a home depot bleeder valve.

ah, i miss the days.
