i have some 6.5s from the back of my friend eclipse, i traded him some pioneer walmart 6.5s for them, they acually sound better in my opinion than the pioneer, probly cuz they are 15w and he pioneers are like 200w

fr the record my set up is very clean and NOT ghetto.....
so anyone that has 'stock' speakers as part of their set-up is ghetto?

EDIT: I PEALED AND SEALED SOME OLD KICKERS I HAD LONG AGO...EVERYTHING IS UPGRADED NOW AND MY SYSTEM ROCKS!!!

i have a low powered amp with 8awg power wire, a fuse is a waste of time if you ask me, all my friends don't use fuses on there power wire, maybe its a jamaica thing, i dunno....

Your friends and the installers are JACKASSES. Whenever a wire, especially a large diameter wire (8awg), is run in a vehicle it should be fused. Please don't post when something catches on fire.

Actually after it happens he will be the main proponent of fusing

8 gauge is not "small" wire. On a short it can move a lot of current.

just an FYI for *anyone* thinking of not using a fuse. My cousin didn't on the Taurus SHO he use to have (key words.. use to). The wire ended up shorting to the firewall, and the section of 8 guage running between the firewall and the positive terminal on the battery caused a fire burning his car up.

Fuses are to protect the electrical system not the components attached to it. In other words fuse your wires!! Do it as close to the battery as possible.

Exactly, the length of wire between battery and fuse is unprotected by the fuse so the shorter the better.
