I was accelerating fairly hard up to highway speeds then threw on the brakes pretty hard, the car then died. Tried to start the car and getting cranking but nothing else not sure if fuel or spark problem.

You guys know of any tests to do to try to figure this one out? I am going to check the voltage to the fuel pump. What should it be? Is it hard to get to?

I had a similar problem with excellarating with my 95 dx, my dizzy blew the ****

 

So you are saying that it is cranking over but there is no reaction from the motor. It might just be something as simple as your spark plugs are gummed up or they are over or under gapped. You might of flooded your engine and there might be gas in your oil. Im sorry I cant help you more, but this is all I can think of with the info you gave.
