ey i dont know much about car audio.. but my face plate.... sucks major ***, lcd screen dont work, buttons hell of stick.... im looking for a new whole stereo... and i also have a 6 cd changer. i want to keep it.... so if i get a new stereo... i have to make sure it will work with a cd changer??? or does it matter?? i need to get this replaced soon... cuz its freeking annoying!

the face plate thing is a KEH-M6550 and the cd changer is a CDX-FM35

 

Just buy a new HU. The CD changer sounds like an FM modulated controlled changer.....

If you have to tune the radio to a certain station to listen to the CD Changer and control the CD changer through anything other than the HU (ie a separate remote or display), then you can buy any HU you want.

If you control the CD changer with your current HU, then I am wrong and you have to find a HU that will work with the CD changer..... Check http://www.pioneerelectronics.com and search through all the stuff until you find what HU are compatible with your CD changer.

I do believe that the FM model number CD changers made by pioneer used an FM modulator to control the unit.

Damn..... Couldnt find anything on the pioneer site about those either of those units.... how old are they???
