Installing 6.5 front speakers in a 92 Civic Hatch
Hey, im having difficulties installing my 6.5 in the front of my car, ive taken off the old speakers + the mounting bracket, i can fit the speakers in and properly hook them up, but i cant open my window all the way w/ this setup! how can i fix this?
I didn't use wood for the spacer in my car. I took the plastic grill that comes with the speakers and made it into a spacer. You can do that with any 6.5 speaker grills. Take the mesh part off and use the outside frame. Put behind the speakers like spacers and drill the holes. Works great. And it's lighter then wood.
if that dont work..just do what i did..just mount the speakers without the plastic bracket thing and drill your own holes to hold your 6.5's in...

I don't think there is even that much of a difference. I drilled gun holes in mine to lighten it y0!
