i killed my shocks with ebay coilovers
very sad story...i got some cheap $150 coilovers about a month ago shortly after i bought my integra (my first mod). yesterday when i jacked up my car to raise the car a bit because my mud flaps were scraping the floor evertime i turned, to my horror i found hydraulic fluid from my shocks all over the coilovers and the suspension system. point im makin is never buy ebay coilovers!
Were you running your stock shocks with the coilovers? As you know, they're not capable to handle lowering springs for so long. In other words, lowering your car and using the stock shocks would eventually lead to blown shocks, no matter the brand.

that's what happen when you buy $150 ebay coilovers and not replacing the stock struts at the same time.

i dont think the coil overs have much to do with the shocks leaking.......
the stock shocks will only allow you to lower so much before you damage them.
how low did you have the coil-overs set at? you probably had it slammed. i think the most the stock shocks can safley handle is about 1.5-2" max.

Hmmm......300 some odd days here and 900 posts later you still went ahead and bought e-bay coilovers?
I'm sorry man, but e-bay coilovers? And I'm not gonna rip you for using them on stock shocks, cuz it would have been stupid to run e-bay coilovers on anything nicer and more expensive than the stockers.
You do get what you pay for in car parts....

90 dollar coilovers right here. . . .*ebay*. . . on tokico blues. . . my ride is quite decent actually. . . no porblems with either of em.. dam all you ebay haters.
The coilovers didnt ruin the struts because they are cheap, they ruined the struts because the stok struts arent capable of handling coilovers. The fact that they were from ebay and cost $150 has nothing to do with it.
