I just swaped a ITR tranny into my 95 GSR and now i'm losing fluid from the passenger side where the axle goes in......is there a seal on the axle/tranny that could be bad? it's not leaking really fast, but enough to **** me off

any help is appreciated!!!

btw: i replaced that passenger side axle (reman.) at the same time

yeah, chances are it's the seal.

 

ya i had this prob. its a little seal, it is like a metal washer with rubber and a spring to keep it tight on the spindle of the axle. just go to a dealership or if you want to save money go to like napa or something like that. i paid like 10$ for mine at the dealership because i was too impatient for kragen to order one for me. ohh ya and to put it in just take out your axle, the pull the other one off and pop the new one in with a malet or something to that effect. just make sure its in straight and that you didnt wreck it while putting it in. good luck man and i feel your pain on the anoying leak

thanks for the replies.....i kinda figured it was that seal, i'll pick one up and replace it sometime this week, i've had the axles off just a few days ago so it should be pretty easy to fix....
