Default 99 civic swap is done Pics inside

Last weekend i swapped in a 99 GSR motor w/ skunk2 manifold into my buddies 99ex here are the pics:

Almost ready....

And its out: im pulling the hoist in case you were wondering, im the only one dirty too...

Hmmm something is missing:

And in with the new:

Ecu jumper for use of 99 gsr ecu, i would have gone with obd1 p72 but its not my car.... Thanks to katman for the jumper, great quality.

The swap went really well except for the "bitch pin" and one of the axle nuts. Other than that the swap was a breeze. Had to solder in the new dizzy plug from the gsr harness casue we used the 99 ex harness again. Also had to extend both vtec and vtec pressure wires. Also had to solder in the plug for the crank position sensor casue the civic is a three pin and the integra is a two pin. Also had to purchse the 99-00 si rear mount brakcet.

As far as the bag over the PS line i just got the pump for him today(thanks to b18c1 powered si) so that will be in shortly. We also need the del sol vtec or b20 ac compressor bracket to run his ac, if you have one let me know, i need it with the pully aswell.

To keep this tech realted he is throwing a code 45, too rich too lean, he said on the way to the muffler shop is primary o2 was dragging on the ground and got slightly damaged, could this casue this code to appear. The code came on after the exhaust had been put together.

If it was the P02 sensor, it should be these codes I believe:

code 1: defective circuit or sensor
code 41: heater circuit malfunction
code 61: high voltage, low voltage

So if you're getting none of those along with it, I'd say it's probably fine and the problem is elsewhere. I'm no honda technician, but I've had my share of P02 codes and it's usually code 1.

I'm stumped. If it were my car however, I'd first make sure BOTH 02's are plugged in first. If they were, then I'd replace that primary one just because you know it's been bashed on and may be malfunctioning.

Another thing.. is I believe the primary 02 starts to do it's job only when the engine is completely warmed up and you're driving. So this also leads my to think that it may not be the P02. Thus confusing me even more.

Eh. Check and replace.

And with that sk2 manifold... are you sure it's going to run fine with that ECU? I don't know anything about the SK2 GSR manifolds.

door jams are definetly painted. again its not my car. I think the bay should be painted and i believe it is on his todo list. None the less his car is pretty dope IMO.

he is selling the swap. motor has a little over 45,000. the tranny is basically brandnew from honda and has an act extreme pressure plate with street disc. He has reciepts for all of it. The swap is complete minus the wiring harness and mounts which were reused with the new swap. A few bolts are missing from the vibration mounts, throttle cable, and shitf linkage is included with it. I think he wants around 750 for it all. Pm me if you want his number.
