is there another way for knowing if im motor is at TDC beside taking off the timing belt cover..cause i cant take the cover off .. i have a b18 in my crx

 

Doesn't a timing light light up when its a TDC? Get one of those.

 

yea but it i use a timing light that means i have to have it running..and i dont want it to be running when i dont even have it close to TDC..

 

well actually.... u can take the dizzy cap off.... and take spark plug off.... put a very long metal on the hole.... turn engine until metal goes all way up and stops going. now check the rotor on dizzy to see where is it pointing.... if its pointin on the direction where the #1 cyl spark cable is... there u go....
